The Pacific Science Center’s exhibit “Professor Wellbody’s Academy” is a 7,000 square foot exhibit promoting health and wellness education. The exhibit is divided into seven immersive areas, each exploring a different aspect of healthy living. Morlights’ lighting design provided an exciting ambiance for each of these areas, using efficient solutions for an economical approach.
We worked with exhibit designer Gyroscope Inc., fabricator Group Delphi, and Intelligent Lighting Creations to provide modern LED luminaries for the new exhibit. By utilizing low-profile track fixtures, we solved the visibility problem presented by the building’s low ceilings, and reliably lit the graphics and text throughout the exhibit. We also fully integrated the new design into the museum’s AV system for easy control and use. The new lighting design for “Professor Wellbody’s Academy” helped the museum meet its budgetary and sustainability goals, and greatly enhances this incredible community resource for health education.
