Marriott Naperville

When Marriott took over a Holiday Inn located in Naperville, the hotel group sought a modernization of the 500 room facility — the hotel was built in the 1980s, and much of the interior was in need of an update. We joined Solomon Cordwell Buenz Architecture for the planned renovations, including a reorganized first floor and new building systems.

Working closely with general contractor Peak Construction, Morlights relit the 50,000 square foot first floor and met a broad range of programming needs, including the lobby, conference and meeting rooms, banquet hall and ballroom, common areas, parking lots, and the exterior of the six-story building. Our energy-efficient, Dali-controlled system offered a flexible and sustainable programming in line with the hotel’s LEED silver accreditation, and was implemented without changing the electrical infrastructure for impressive savings by our client. We delivered these materials through our relationship with Evergreen Oak, ensuring the updated hotel got the best quality with the lowest price tag.
