414 Light Street is a new, 44-story luxury residence set in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, a historic neighborhood that houses much of the city’s sight-seeing attractions. Alongside architects Solomon Cordwell Buenz and developers Questar Properties, Morlights instilled a unified design for the apartments’ many amenity areas. Our minimalistic approach created an integrated experience without detracting from the historic setting.
The residence tower had several amenity areas that needed a sophisticated lighting design, including an outdoor rooftop pool, al fresco dining area, and an entertaining patio. We participated in a highly collaborative, communicative design process between teams and with the clients to introduce a lighting design that accentuated the offerings of each of these areas. With budget efficiency at the forefront, we installed high-end lighting that included intuitive user controls for the future tenants. Our final design provided a clean, modern lighting design that also directed and engaged the stunning, historic views of the Inner Harbor.
